XipLink delivers wireless and satellite performance where all other solutions fall short. If you've ever run encrypted communications across satellite links you're well aware of the performance losses. In fact, adding type 1 encryption to the average 492kbps often delivers abismal performance in the range of 20% or less!. Xiplink's SCPS-TP and I-PEP compliant bandwidth optimization appliances and software for satellite and wireless Wide-Area-Networks change the game when it comes to optimization. XipLink's designs solve communications problems where high latency, a high bit-error-rate or high degrees of asymmetry cannot be tolerated.
XipLink applies advanced acceleration, compression and optimization capability to satellite, cellular, space links and other wireless environments maximizing communication capacity and economically balancing optimal data performance with operational cost savings.
GovAssure's military, government, exploration, telecommunications and science based applications all stand to gain performance, capacity and communications control excellence with reduced operational cost from our new partnership with XipLink.

XipLink delivers high performance satellite & wireless optimization at a fraction of the cost of competing platforms. To learn more, check out the content in one of the links below!

VSAT Networks
XipLink has been deliberately engineered for maximum bandwidth utilization over dynamic bandwidth broadband satellite networks.
Dynamic bandwidth networks allow efficient use of satellite bandwidth by allocating bandwidth only to terminals that require it. The DVB-RCS standard is one example of a dynamically allocated return channel and shared forward channel and uses finely grained time-slots. In this network, the available bandwidth to a terminal can vary drastically and quickly.
As a further complication, a pure Fixed Rate Control solution can actually work against any network based QoS policies between any two optimizers. Fixed Rate Control solutions make the general assumption that loss is based on interference or congestion and they do not respond to traffic shaping or priorities established by the QoS enforcement engine, because the QoS mechanisms assume standard TCP congestion control is operating.
Working with the support of the European Space Agency: Telecom and in partnership with Communications Research Centre, XipLink wireless optimization algorithms have been engineered in anticipation of dynamic bandwidth networks. By using a configurable adaptive output rate to match network characteristics, XipLink Transport Control Modes offer various operating modes that allow all levels of Quality of Service to be retained.
In VSAT networks like SCPC the XipLink wireless optimization software, configured in Fixed Rate Control Mode can fill a link to the specified data rate and maintain the maximum throughput across all load profiles.
